Honor a loved one or their memory in our Troop Tribute!
Our troop tribute is a fundraiser, in which 100% of proceeds go to care packages for local Custer County deployed troops and local veterans. These care packages will be sent to all branches of the local deployed military to show local support for their dedication to our freedom. We are hoping to bring our community together and show military and their families support as well, creating a bond between military families.
People will be able to purchase a 12"x18" flag in honor of someone currently deployed, past service men and women, and flags in memory of those military service men and women who have passed away (may also include where served for memory flags). Each flag will have a plaque with the service men and women's name, branch, dates of service, and who purchased/dedicated the flag. All of which information you will provide.
Each flag can be purchased for $25.
We will have drop off places for any non-perishable items that will be mailed in the packages. For a list of items requested by most deployed military, there will be a link on the Custer County Chief website and Sandhills Express Facebook page.
We will line the walkways of the Downtown Square in Broken Bow with dozens of donated American Flags during the Custer County Fair, for the community to view at their leisure and will remain up for the entirety of the Fair as a symbol of remembrance in honor of our Armed Forces men and women. Celebrate the life of someone special; support our community, and servicemen and women by donating a flag.
In addition to the Troop Tribute our community sponsors will be hosting a free will donation Watermelon Feed and raffle on Saturday, July 28th from 4:00-7:00 pm as a thank you for supporting our troops!
Please fill out the form below and return it with your donation of $25 or more to Boarders Hotel & Suites or Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in Broken Bow, NE. We are working to raise funds for care packages for troops overseas and care packages for our veterans we have in our community. We are setting up a 501(c)(3) at the Custer County Foundation called TROOP TRIBUTE where you can donate funds as well. __________________________________________________________________________________ Name of Donor: Address: Phone number: Number of Flags: Donation Enclosed ($25, $50, $75, $100, or other): Flag(s) in Honor of/Memory of: Branch (only if you want included on the Flag): Location of service( Korea, WWII, Vietnam, etc): Optional information you want listed:
